Lynn Hutton
Lynn joined First Christian Church in July 2024, bringing over 30 years of accounting experience to her role as Bookkeeper. She manages the church’s financial responsibilities, including recording contributions, processing payroll and vendor payments, and preparing monthly financial statements. Since joining, she’s felt genuinely welcomed by the FCC community—something she cherishes deeply.
Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois State University and has worked in both private industry and public accounting firms throughout her career. After retiring at the end of 2023, she’s thrilled to be using her skills in a meaningful and faith-filled setting.
At home in Peoria, Lynn enjoys life with her two 14-year-old rat terriers, Molly and Stella. She also has an adult daughter who lives nearby. Her hobbies include quilting, sewing, and gardening, and she lovingly makes pillowcases for children that are donated to various organizations—a fun and generous way to stay creative.
While she doesn’t have a favorite musical artist, Lynn enjoys easy rock—especially when she can understand the lyrics! She’s also a devoted supporter of any sport her great nieces and nephews are involved in. Lynn cares deeply about animal protection and foster care, reflecting her compassionate spirit.
