Welcome to First Christian Church

First Christian Church was organized in 1845, the same year that the city of Peoria was organized. Twelve dedicated Christians gathered together in members' homes.  After all those years our congregational vision has not changed. It is to follow Christ in all aspects of our lives.  Our mission is the love of Christ:  To become, embrace and serve.  We invite you to join us on Sunday morning or at any of our activities listed on our web site and experience the love of Christ as our congregation strives to:

  • Become a Christ-centered community where all are unconditionally loved, accepted and respected
  • Embrace a hunger for Christ's Word through worship, study and sharing our personal faith relationships with Christ
  • Serve others as Christ serves us
